About us:
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1993 and moved to the United States at the age of 17.
After living in Milwaukee, WI for several years (where I met my wife and business partner) we moved to Lawrence, KS, and immediately fell in love with the city.

As a result, we want to give back to the Lawrence community, and the best way to do so is through good food. I have worked in professional kitchens since first moving to the country, having the luck and privilege of working fine dining, and being able to work at some events with Chefs like Daniel Boulud, Curtis Stone, and Nigella Lawson, among others.
My wife has many years of experience as well in the industry, from server to bartender and even barista!

We are excited about the opportunity to provide Lawrence with "Rio de la Plata" comfort food, the type of food I grew up with in Uruguay, the kind of food Grandma used to make.

La Celeste will provide the community in Lawrence, KS with an array of pastries and specialties from all over South America, with a spotlight in "Rio De La Plata" cuisine (Argentina/Uruguay)
We are a unique development in Lawrence, providing fresh pastries, sandwiches, etc. Everything made Fresh from Scratch and at a very affordable price.
